Who We Are

About Perception Educare

A dedicated practice platform for students of Literature and Philosophy — built to sharpen thinking, deepen understanding, and help you excel in competitive examinations.

Jui Shirvalkar-Chandurkar

I was always drawn to English Literature, languages, and philosophy from an early age. My academic inclinations were firmly rooted in the humanities long before I could name them as such. I topped my institute in Sanskrit in 10th standard and again in 12th college, an early indication of my deep engagement with language, texts, and interpretation.

Despite this, like every other Indian student, I found myself guided toward a more conventional and secure path, and began my professional life as a Software Engineer in 2017. While engineering trained me in logic, structure, and precision, it did not fully satisfy my intellectual curiosity. My interest in the humanities never faded, and over time, it quietly but persistently pulled me back.

I eventually transitioned to English Literature and Philosophy, completing my Bachelor's degree in English Literature in 2020 (Mumbai University) with a minor in Philosophy. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in English Literature (Mumbai University), with a brief academic pause taken for entering motherhood, a phase that deepened my engagement with reflection, reading, and thought rather than interrupting it.

In GATE 2025, I secured AIR 192 in English Literature, an academic milestone that reinforced my preparation for further study. I am an aspiring PhD scholar, learning continuously and shaping my research interests with patience and care.

I see myself first and foremost as a forever student. I strongly believe that English Literature and Philosophy naturally complement each other, and that studying one sharpens the understanding of the other. In fact, in my perfect dream-world, I would add other humanities and social sciences subjects like History, Socialism, Linguistics to my forte too. But, unfortunately, I am a realist. :P

My core interests lie in Marathi Literature, Romance languages, English Literature, phenomenology, existentialism, and analytic philosophy.

Perception Educare is a space where I share whatever I am learning at any given moment. The intention is not to teach from authority, but to learn in a group and alongside you, my studymates, by creating and sharing notes, resources, explanations, and study material that may be useful to fellow students.

This platform is grounded in the belief that knowledge becomes richer, clearer, and more meaningful when it is shared generously and honestly.
